Wanda Halsey Stone, age 66, of Southern Shores, NC died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at her residence. A native of Ashe County, she was the daughter of the late Warner W. and Thelma Little McMillan.Mrs. stone is survived by her husband, J. Frank Stone, of the home; two sons, Brett M. Halsey and wife, Sharon, of Greenville, NC and Michael W. Halsey and wife Rebecca, of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Carol Price, of Taylorsville, NC and Sue Hampton, of West Jefferson, NC; two brothers, Walter McMillan, of Piney Creek, NC and Dan McMillan, of West Jefferson, NC; two granddaughters, Taylor and Lauren Halsey; a step daughter, LeAnne Laughlan and husband Andrew of Charlotte, NC two step sons, Jim Stone and wife, Cindy of Southern Shores, NC and Mike Stone, of Southern Shores, NC; three step grandson, Kevin Crooker and John and Sam Laughlan; and several nieces and nephewsA memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2007 at 3pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel.The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Sunday, one hour prior to the memorial service.
