Richard Allen Walton, Jr. better known as Allen, age 37, of West Jefferson, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Walton was born in Ashe County on June 3, 1970 to the late Richard Allen Walton and to Gaye Jones Walton. He was a self-employed automotive recycler. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Key Walton of Creston; a daughter, Sierra Walton of Creston; his mother: Gaye Jones Walton of West Jefferson; his paternal grandmother, Connie Walton Ackerman; also surviving a nephew, Alexander Bare.
