Mrs. Evelyn Clara Osborne Miller, age 86, of West Jefferson, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of West Jefferson with Rev. Kennith Morris and Rev. Michael Lea officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Miller was born in Ashe County on March 31, 1921 to the late Caleb Ennis and Matilda Diana Roark Osborne. She was an AVON Representative for over fifty years. Mrs. Miller is survived by three sons, Eddie H. Miller of West Jefferson, Darrell K. Miller of West Jefferson, Thomas Michael Mickey Miller of Clinton, TN; two sisters, Helen Miller of West Jefferson and Zelma Miller of West Jefferson.
