Mrs. Betty Noblett Parsons, age 60 of Advance, formerly of Ashe County, went to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon, April 9, 2008. Betty was born on August 29, 1947. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending her womens bible study, and had a love for the beach. She will be remembered for her faith in God, her strength and unconditional loving heart. She was the daughter of the late Will and Grace Noblett of Laurel Springs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Ann Tootsie Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, James Foy Parsons, Sr.; two sons, James Parsons and wife, Cindy, of West Jefferson and Jason Parsons and wife, Amanda, of Mocksville; three daughters, Jennifer Parsons of West Jefferson, Joy Kee and husband, Brad, of Weaverville and Maria Bracero, of Clemmons; seven devoted brothers, Buck Roten, of Statesville, Joe Noblett, of Clearfield, Kentucky, Bobby Noblett, Keith Noblett and Roger Noblett, all of Laurel Springs, Johnny Noblett, of West Jefferson, Jackie Noblett, of Fleetwood; a loving sister, Tiny Lambert, of West Jefferson; seven grandchildren Delaney, Collier, Solomon, Sydney, Sterling, Cristin and Jeremy; several nieces and nephew also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 7pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 11:00am at Obids Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Pat Withers and Rev. Tom Graybeal officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, two hours prior to the funeral service.
