Mr. Delvert Clark Mash, age 82, passed away April 10, 2008 at his home in West Jefferson. The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Sonny Thomas, Rev. Ted Reynolds and Rev. Keith Casey. Burial followed in the Severt Cemetery. Mr. Mash was born in Ashe County on September 29, 1925 to the late Albert Fred and Edna Mae Miller Mash.He is survived by his wife Ruth Bare Mash of the home, one brother Wayne Mash of West Jefferson, three daughters Judy Neaves and husband Onis, Debbie Miller and husband Allen, and Elaine Mash all of West Jefferson. Three grandchildren, Heather Neaves Casey of Deep Gap, Jamey Miller and Brandon Grant both of West Jefferson, four great granddaughters, Holly, Jasmine, and Hannah Grant and Cassidy Miller. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Boone Family Funeral Home of West Jefferson was in charge of arrangements. Flowers were accepted and memorials may be sent to Hospice of Ashe, PO Box 421, Jefferson, NC 28640.
