Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Lemly McSwain, age 91, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry McSwain officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. McSwain was born in Ashe County, the Fleetwood Community on October 7, 1916 to the late Samuel L. & Annie Mary Vannoy Lemly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Francis McSwain; two sisters, Virginia L. Groff and Myrtle L. Waters. Mrs. McSwain is survived by one son, Jerry McSwain and wife Lana of Mount Pleasant, SC; one daughter, Judy Thomasson and husband Douglas of Winston-Salem. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Shannon Lundy of Lexington, NC, Jennifer McSwain Graham of Rock Hill, SC, Cody McSwain and wife Amanda of St. Matthews, SC, Jason Thomasson of Fort Bragg, NC; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
