Mrs. Ruby Brewer Grogan, age 68, of Lenoir, formerly of Ashe County passed away Friday morning, April 18, 2008 at the Caldwell Hospice Care Center in Lenoir. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 21, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Three Top Baptist Church at 3019 Three Top Road , Creston, NC 28615 by Rev. Bluford Eldreth officiating. Burial will follow in the Brewer Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 til 8 pm on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Grogan was born in Ashe County on Sunday, August 27, 1939 to the late Charles and Hettie Vanover Brewer. She was preceded in death by her husband Voney Grogan She is survived by a son, Chris Grogan of Lenoir; three brothers, Paul Brewer of Warrensville, Gene Brewer, Sr of Creston and Howard Brewer of West Jefferson; a grandson, Matthew Grogan; several nieces and nephews also survive.
