Mrs. Dorothy Louise (Dot) Owen, age 77, of Halls, TN, left this earthly world to be with her Heavenly Father and the loved ones gone before; husband, Glen Ray Owen, Sr.; father William Davis; mother Rilda Davis; sister Thelma Davis; brothers Wade, John, Dennis and Stacey. Leaving behind to cherish her memory, daughter and son-in-law Barbara and J.B. Griffin; son and daughter-in-law Glen Ray, Jr. and Darleta Owen; sons Dennis Wayne Owen and Tony Kirk Owen; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; step mother Elva Davis and step sister Joan Teaters of Marion, VA; special friends Fay and Ed Carroll, Allie and Earl Hutchinson; longtime friend Margaret White. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008, at 8pm in the Halls Chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home in Knoxville, TN. Graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2008, at 1pm at the Owen Cemetery in Grayson County, VA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 7-8pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel in Knoxville, TN. Both Boone Family Funeral Home of West Jefferson and Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel of Knoxville, TN helped serve the Owen family.
