Mrs. Linda Sue Wyatt Bare, age 69, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday night, May 6, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Lovelace and Rev. Joey McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Cleve Bare Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Bare was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, February 7, 1945 to the late Eunice Wyatt. She was the operator of Kozy Kitchen in West Jefferson and Country House in Lansing. She also worked in the cafeteria at Sara Lee Knit Products. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; she will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paige Bare on October 28, 2009 and a brother, John Wyatt. Mrs. Bare is survived by a son, Mitchell Bare and wife, Bridget, of the home; three daughters, Cindy Palmer and husband, Donald, of Jefferson, Sheri Shepherd and husband, Curtis, of West Jefferson and Susie Lewis, of Jefferson; twelve grandchildren, Jessica Martin, Amber Bare, Allen Bare, Dean Bare, Eric Bare, Brandon Phelps, Andrew Noblett, Todd Parsons, Stephanie Goodman, Kendall Shepherd, Ryan Lewis and Paige Lewis; seven great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Martin, Trey Noblett, Tyler Noblett, Kyleigh Parsons, Abbie Parsons, Justin Matkins and Cassidy Goodman; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cleve Bare Cemetery, c/o Mitchell Bare, 291 Gaither Poe Road, Laurel Springs, NC 28644. The family will be meeting at the homeplace: 5079 Hwy. 88 East in Jefferson.
