Mrs. Pollie Evelyn Hartzog Weaver, age 75, of Warrensville, passed away Wednesday morning, May 14, 2014 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2:00pm at the homeplace: 3524 NC Hwy 88 West in Warrensville. Mrs. Weaver was born in Ashe County on April 5, 1939 to the late Bower Kilby and Dessie Danford Younce Hartzog. She was a member of Warrensville United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. Weaver; a daughter, Ann Smith; two brothers, Larry Hartzog and David Hartzog; a sister, Jane Brown. Mrs. Weaver is survived by a daughter, Nancy Hoffman, of Warrensville; five brothers, Thomas Gordon Hartzog, of West Jefferson, Everette Hartzog, of Yadkinville, Edward Hartzog, of West Jefferson, Jacob Hartzog, of Pinnacle and Steve Hartzog, of Statesville; a sister, Toby Hartzog, of West Jefferson; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
