Mr. Ralph Glenn Pless, age 78, of Jefferson, passed away Thursday morning, May 22, 2014 at Mountain Living Adult Care Center. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elliott Osowitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Dollar Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Pless was born in Ashe County on Saturday, October 5, 1935 to the late David Newton and Eula Blane Dollar Pless. He was the owner and operator of Bethel Cable TV. He enjoyed watching CNN on television. He is survived by a son, James Lee Pless, of Wilkesboro; two daughters , Rachel Blevins and husband, Mark, of Whitetop, VA and Judy Ann McCulley and husband, Jim, of Kingsport, TN; a brother, Larry Pless and wife, Wanda, of Lansing; two grandchildren, James Paul Sturgill and wife, Amy and Kimberly Blevins; two great-grandchildren, Reese Sturgill and Isabella Sturgill; several nieces and nephews also survive.
