Mrs. Geraldine Greene Harless, age 66, of West Jefferson passed away Sunday morning, May 25, 2014 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 12:00pm at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Steve LeaShomb, Rev. Ervil Jones, and Rev. Sherrill Wellborn officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00-12:00, two hours prior the funeral service at Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Harless was born in Wilkes County on Thursday, December 18, 1947 to the late Dallas Stewart and Nonnie Era Greene. She retired from Reflections in West Jefferson, where she was as a Cosmetology. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, sister and friend. She enjoyed playing with the little children at church and in her family. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Greene and Donnie Greene. Mrs. Harless is survived by her husband, Larry Allen Harless; four brothers, Mac Greene and wife, Janis, of Deep Gap, Jack Greene and wife, Ann, of Deep Gap, Joe Greene and wife, Linda, of Deep Gap and Ricky Greene and wife, Carlene, of Fleetwood; two sisters, Darelene Greene and Tom Moodie, of Knoxville, TN and Pauline Taylor and husband, Mark, of Purlear, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.
