Mr. Jason Charles Miller, age 42, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday morning, May 27, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 2:00pm at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sonny Thomas, Rev. Derick Hodges and Rev. Russell Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Thursday, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Miller was born in Ashe County on Saturday, September 18, 1971 to the late Jake Miller and Vivian DeBose Miller. He worked in maintenance at Appalachian State University. He was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors: hunting and fishing. He was a loving son, husband, father and friend; and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Beth) Miller; a son, Garrett Miller, of Jefferson; a daughter, Monica Miller, of Jefferson; his mother, Vivian DeBose Miller, of Jefferson; a brother, Jeff Miller and wife, Beth, of Jefferson; a sister, Carol Miller, of Jefferson; his father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Geraldine Miller of Millers Creek; two nieces, Payton Miller and Morgan Miller; four nephews, Jake Miller, Brandon Miller, Colby Taylor and Colton Miller; a great niece, Addy Miller; a great nephew, Jorden Miller also survive.
