James Lee Parsons, better known as Jimmy, age 34, of West Jefferson died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 30, 2014 at Faith Fellowship Church with Rev. Elliott Osowitt and Rev. J.D. Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Saturday at Faith Fellowship Church prior to the funeral service. Mr. Parsons was born in Ashe County on September 17, 1979 to Junior Lee Parsons and Wanda Lee Ackerman. He was also preceded in death by a brother; Marshall Moxley, and his Paternal Grandfather; James Ackerman Sr. Mr. Parsons is survived his mother; Wanda A. Parsons of the home; a special friends; David Gleisner of Creston; one brother; William “Billy” Moxley, Jr.; one step sister; Karen Moxley Brown of Galax, VA; and several aunts and uncles also survive.
