Mrs. Danna Lou Church Miller, age 71, of Fleetwood, passed away Tuesday morning, June 10, 2014 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 1:00pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Goodman officiating. Mrs. Miller was born in Ashe County on Sunday, February 28, 1943 to the late Walter Thomas and Virginia Surber Church. She was self-employed as a house cleaner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Miller; two brothers, Jim Church and Earl Church. Mrs. Miller is survived by two daughters, Darlene Calhoun and husband, Bob, of Crumpler and Linda Kay Miller, of Fleetwood; a brother, Don Church and wife, Maurine, of Sparta; a sister, Libby Loggins and husband, Joe, of Fleetwood; four grandchildren, Timothy Jay (T.J.) Miller of Fleetwood, Jamie Scott Miller of Fleetwood, Stephanie Blevins of Jefferson and Katie Blevins, of Jefferson; two great-grandsons, Trathan Shepherd and Nathan Miller; several nieces and nephews also survive.
