Mr. Jose Santos Castellan Denza, age 20, of West Jefferson, passed Monday night, June 23, 2014 at his home, after a long illness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Adams, Rev. Junior Woosley and Rev. Lindsay McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Bald Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00pm on Thursday, June 26, 2014, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Denza was born in Ashe County on Monday, January 24, 1994 to Felipe Denza. He worked in Christmas Trees. Jose always had a smile on his face and was very uplifting for the ones around him. He was a wonderful son and brother; he will be missed by all. He is survived by his parents, Felipe & Rosa Denza, of West Jefferson; a brother, Josiah Denza, of West Jefferson; two sisters, Savannah Denza and Kenzie Denza, of West Jefferson; a grandmother, Marilyn Cope, of West Jefferson; an aunt, Belen Denza, of West Jefferson also survives.
