Mr. John Charles Hopkins, better known as Johnny, age 60, of Morganton, formerly of Ashe County passed away Wednesday at Grace Hospital in Morganton. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Jack Pugh officiating. Mr. Hopkins was born in Ashe County on August 30,1953 to the late Ambrose and Violet Wyatt Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins is survived by one brother Kenneth Hopkins of Burlington; several nieces and nephews.
