Mrs. Ilene Gilley Barker, age 93, of Warrensville passed away Thursday morning, July 17, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Joe Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19, 2014 form 1-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Barker was born in Ashe County on March 25, 1921to the late Charles Gilley and Elizabeth Jane Weaver. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thermund Lee Barker. She is survived by her three daughters; Arlena Creasman and husband Lamar of North Wilkesboro, Kathy Sapp of Warrensville, and Janet Hartsog of West Jefferson; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six great, great grandchildren also survive.
