Obituary of Janice Marjorie Miller

Mrs. Janice Campbell Miller, age 64, of West Jefferson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Ashe Memorial Hospital after an extended illness surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Sexton, Brother David Testerman & Brother Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Tuesday at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born in Ashe County on Friday, February 2, 1945 to the late Conley Hughes and Clara Lucille Weaver Campbell. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Michael Campbell. 2 Timothy 4:7 - I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Her unconditional love was her special gift to all who knew her. We will cherish her memory always and remember her as a devoted mother, a loving wife, a good neighbor, friend and a great Christian. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Reggie Miller, a son, Mark Miller of the home; Chris Campbell, who she raised as a son; two brothers, Harold Campbell and Ronnie Campbell, both of Creston; six sisters, Venice Sage and husband, Harold of Winston-Salem, Reva Hartness and husband, James of Winston Salem, Mary Rash of Creston, Linda Galloway and husband, Charles of Winston-Salem, Naomi Campbell of Creston, Barbara Gregory and husband, Larry of Winston-Salem; several nieces and nephews also survive. A special thanks to her church family at Emmanuel Baptist Church, to all her wonderful neighbors, to all her devoted friends, for all their prayers, love, help and visits during her extended illness. Also, a special friend, Bridgett Eastridge, which was a caregiver for Janice's son, Mark for many years. Thanks to her Doctor, Kevin Kurtz and staff and to all the staff at Ashe Memorial Hospital for the loving care Janice received during her illness. Flowers will be appreciated.
