Mr. Bower Ambrose Walters, age 97, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday morning, March 31, 2009 at Segraves Nursing Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 3:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Love, Rev. Lonnie Jones and Dr. Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friend from 2:00-3:00pm on Friday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Walters was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, October 4, 1911 to the late Joel Edward and Hettie Josephine Little Walters. He was an Agricultural Farmer. Mr. Walters is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family requests no food please!
