Mrs. Nellie Osborne Pasley, age 82, of Grassy Creek passed away Tuesday evening, September 30, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11am at Haw Orchard Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Carpenter, Rev. Randy Lovelace and Rev. David Testerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Haw Orchard Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 6-8pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Pasley was born in Grayson County, Virginia on July 23, 1932 to the late Courtney and Goldie Farmer Osborne. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother; and will be missed by all. Mrs. Pasley is survived by her husband; Arthur Pasley better known as "Junior", two sons; Randy Pasley and wife Rebecca McKinley of Eagle River, Alaska, and Todd Pasley and wife Teri Johnson of Raleigh; one daughter; Jennifer Pasley Smith and husband Don of Grassy Creek; two brothers; Courtney Osborne, Jr. of Strasburg, PA and James Osborne of Chilhowie, VA; four sisters; Marcella Kilby of Salem, VA, Mazie Foore of Chilhowie, VA, Jacqueline Brooks of Wilmington, NC, and Shirley Pruitt of Leola, PA; five grandchildren; Josh Smith and wife Amanda, Kaitlin Carpenter and husband Sid, Keegan Smith and friend Laura, Thea Pasley, and Isabelle Pasley; one great-granddaughter; Harlow Smith; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
