I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope.

Jennifer and I are so saddened by the loss of Jack. Our heart goes out to Clara and the family. Jack was a good friend, a dedicated Fraternal of Police Member, and officer, and a very giving person delivering meals with the Ashe Meals on Wheels Program. Jack will be sorely missed in the County. As I look down at the river on NC 163, I will always see Jack standing in his waders fly fishing.
Thank you for your service to our Country, our County, and our State. Gods speed Jack.

As I read your father's obituary I was impressed at how giving he was. I was also very appreciative of his service in the Marines.
In the last few weeks it was obvious to me how much you loved him and how committed you were to making certain he received the very best care possible. I'm so glad you were by his side when he left us and crossed over The River. You were a wonderful daughter.

Mama Clara -
I know you will miss "Papa Jack" and hope you will take comfort in knowing that he is with his Lord and takes with him memories of the amazing wife and life you shared together. I will always remember Papa Jack as the proud and handsome man fully dressed in uniform going off to pay tribute to a fallen solider or police officer. He loved his Country and always celebrated the United States freedom and those that serve this Country.

Clara,
I hated to hear of Jack's passing. I always had the upmost respect for him and can only hope to be as spry as he was when we were delivering ambulances and wheelchair vans in the early 2000's. I know Jack had a strong faith in God and he is enjoying his reward. We should be happy he has shed this mortal shell and left pain, suffering and want behind, but it is always sad when a friend leaves us behind, Take care and may the good lord help you through the next days and weeks.

Clara, So sorry for to the loss of Jack. I have wondered about you and Jack for several years. I bought a house in Wilkes a few years ago be close to my sister.
I thought so much of you and Jack and missed seeing you both. May God wrap his arms around you and the family and give you comfort. Keep all the great memories in you heart, which I know you have many and he will always feel close. That will not take the place of having him with you, but it will help.
