I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope.

My Father, Bill Hurley, really liked working with Jim at Skyline and he was my Dad's closest Friend. After my Father retired, Jim use to stop by from time-to-time to chat with him, which my Father really enjoyed and appreciated. Personally, I remember being a kid talking with Jim at Skyline when I was there on occasion. Later on, as a young man, Jim strongly encouraged me to pursue higher education. As a very intelligent man, Jim had the ablity to talk about any subject with great knowledge and wisdom.
My Father and I are deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. My Father wishes he could attend the Memorial Service today, but is unable to do so due to a medical illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim's Family at this difficult and sad time.
Sincerely,
Christopher Hurley

Dear Nelson family:
Our hearts sorrow with yours in the loss of Jim's smile. We all had some good times (and a few stressful ones, too) while working together with Jim at Carolina West Wireless. It was a good team there with much laughter. My husband, Jack, and I both pray for God's loving arms to envelope you, Jim's family and loved ones, and give you comfort during this sudden time of loss. May we each remember that the separation time is short until we, too, leave this world to, by faith and trust in Him, rejoin our loved ones in the Presence and Happiness of our loving Father. May God comfort each of you.

To the Family of a Great Guy,
Jim was a great guy to be around with all the fun and laughter that he shared with people. I served with Jim at the Fleetwood Fire Dept. for 26 years and we had many memories to share. I worked for Jim some at the home place and it was always a pleasure to see what Jim could come up with.
Jim was a kind and caring person and made the world, especially Fleetwood a wonderful place to live. Fly high my friend and my your laughter and smiles light heaven and I know God smiled when you arrived!
