I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope.

I met Peyton around May when he came and rode with the Deputies on my shift at the time at Alleghany Sheriff Office. He was always joking around and had a smile on his face. I remember meeting Peyton at Keith Gambill's place by the river in 2000. He was a kind, laid back and funny man. As years passed he helped me through a lot of personal issues. I always had a secret crush on him! I do not live in Ashe Co. but I always stay in touch with my friends there! There are no words that I can say to ease the pain and sorrow that you all have right now. Peyton was a very special person to me as well he was my first love. Oh how I remember driving him, Walter, Roger, Jesse and Dewayne around the dirt roads of Chestnut Hill and going to the Nascar races. This was more than 25 years ago but remember it like it was yesterday. Peyton has an amazing family they excepted me as their own. Peyton was one of a kind.!!!! Peyton will be missed VERY much. He was full of joy and always had a smile on his face each time we talked. Had it not been for Peyton; Greg and I would have never found and fell in love with The New River. We began our journey with The New while camping at Twin Rivers.........9 years later we now own our Mtn. Home right on the river.
