So very sorry to hear of Carol's passing and long courageous battle with cancer.
I went to school with Carol from the 1st grade through graduation and on to Wilkes Community College. I remember well her "light" and cheerfulness. I know she will be very missed by her family and loved ones.

I was visiting my Mom in West Jefferson, she had on the local radio and I heard Carol's name in the obituaries. I was saddened to hear about her passing. I went to Beaver Creek High School, a year behind Carol. Although I have not seen her in many years, I have good memories of her and others at Beaver Creek. I always enjoyed talking with her and Carol had an addictive smile and a positive personality.

Dennis and Family,
What a pleasure it was for me to work with Carol. Her dedication to her family, fellow employees, customers and senior management of Yadkin Bank were always obvious in her day to day activities. She was, and will always be, an inspiration to me and others whose life she touched throughout her battle with cancer. A "lady" in the truest since of the word and always positive right up until the day that she crossed over to be with her lord. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to get to know and work with her for many years.

Having known Carol from first grade until we graduated high school I remember her as being a sweet caring person. Carol had a smile that made those around her want to smile.
Though I haven't seen her in over 40 years her passing so young saddens me, as I know it does all of her family and friends. In my mind I can see her now, smiling, as she is reunited with the loved ones that have been waiting for her in heaven.
