Mr. Albert Reeves Cope, better known as “Sonny”, age 87, of Jefferson passed away Wednesday night, September 2, 2015 at his son’s home in Raleigh. Memorial Services will be held on Monday at 2:00PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1-2 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Cope was born in Clora, Maryland on December 31, 1927 to the late Charles Judson Cope and Callie Reeves. He was a pilot for North Carolina Highway Patrol. He was a loving father and grandfather, and will be missed by all. He is survived by: three sons, Frank Reeves Cope and wife, Jasmine, of Raleigh, Dennis Phillips Cope and wife, Pam, of Raleigh and Albert “Mark” Cope and wife, Betsy, of Raleigh; one sister, Ruth Kluttz of Jefferson; three grandson, four granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews also survives.
