I went to elementary and high school with Mark, and I have lived away from Ashe County for many years. It was just recently that I learned of Mark's passing and I am so sorry. Mark always had a funny story and smile to share. I have very fond memories of Mark, and I know he is dearly missed by many.

I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. We went to school together and he was always so funny and cheerful. I hadn't seen him in years and often wondered where he was living. Mark was a very dear sweet soul whom I am blessed to have shared a wonderful friendship. I have dear memories of riding horses and fellowshipping with Mark and Beth. Mark was always kind and had a heart full of love for all. So many fond memories ... Mark was one of a kind and I will miss him. Thank you for the wonderful fun memories Mark.

Dear Family,
Mark and I went to school together at West Jefferson and Beaver Creek and I have very fond memories of him. He was always friendly and funny, very kind to his classmates - especially the girls.
I didn't know he had passed away until this afternoon, and I am sorry that I was unable to attend his service.
