Mr. Markus James Ham, better known as “Mark”, age 54, of Zebulon, formerly of Ashe County passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Dollar and Rev. Danny Joe Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Wednesday; one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Ham was born in Abingdon, Virginia to the late James William and Beulah Madeline Farmer Ham. He was a self-employed truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding horse, four wheeling and just being outdoors. He was always a happy soul and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Hartsoe. Mr. Ham is survived by his wife, Beth Odell Ham; two brothers, Mike Ham, of West Jefferson and Mack Ham and wife, Carla, of West Jefferson; a sister, Pama Taylor and husband, Robert, of Lansing; three nieces also survive.
