Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.

Rena has always stuck out in my memory as one of the funniest ladies. I can still picture her behind the counter at the store telling funny stories. She always had a kind word for us youngsters when we stopped in and her and Kenny were especially good to my grandparents. Mat the family take condolence in her fond memories and know that you were in her heart at all times.

I have so many happy memories of Aunt Rena. (I'm her brother Lester's daughter, and I live in Rhode Island now.) Every summer when I was growing up, my family traveled 500 miles from the Eastern Shore of Maryland to Ashe County to visit our relatives. Dad always brought me over to Todd to play with my cousin Diana, and I had such fun with her, Aunt Rena, Uncle Kenny, and Raymond. Aunt Rena was always so welcoming, happy, warm, friendly, caring, and just simply fun-loving. What a treat for a little girl! In more recent years, I visited Aunt Rena several times at her home. Once Uncle Stamp was there, and Rena invited Lee Ella to come over so that we could all be together. They were the last three of the 12 siblings. What a delightful visit that was! I'll always remember Aunt Rena's warm smile and welcoming hug. She was a very special lady, and we will all greatly miss her.

So sorry to hear that you lost your Mother but so happy for her and Mama and Keith because they are rejoicing in the presence of The Lord! I can just hear her and Mama now catching up on things! Diana, I am so sorry to hear that your dear sweet mother has passed away. She was always so sweet to my mother and called her often. I appreciated the kind words that she had for my mother. I will never forget her kindness. She was a wonderful lady and I am sure a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother. May you and your family find peace in knowing that she is resting in the arms of Jesus. She is now with her parents, brothers, sisters and her forever soul mate (Kenny). Family of Mrs Rena: Please accept my condolence on the passing of your loved one. Growing up in the Laurel Knob/Todd community Mrs Rena was a person that I looked up to, as well as looking up to Mr. Kenny. Both, especially Mrs Rena was someone that I looked up to, because in a way she had a part in my raising, as she helped with raising many others in the community, because she cared for everyone and was a Godly woman. Cherish your memories of her and remember the great legacy she lived and left in the community. Due to my illness I will not be able to attend her services, but know that it is my prayer that each can find peace and comfort in this time of sadness. There is no doubt in my mind that Mrs Rena is now rejoicing in GODs beautiful HEAVEN. GOD bless each one of you.

Family of Mrs Rena: Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mrs. Rena. She, along with many of the other women in the community helped shape the lives of many of us younger people, and it was done with love for each of us in the neighborhood. I have many fond memories of the whole family, and Mrs Rena and Mr Kenny treated me and others as family in many ways. Cherish the many memories of Mrs Rena and be proud of the legacy she lived. Praying that peace and comfort will encompass each of you in your grieving. Unfortunately my illness will prevent me from paying my respect in person. We love you all.
