Mr. Allen Lee Barker, age 16, of Jefferson passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his home. A private funeral will be held. Mr. Barker was born in Ashe County on Saturday, April 3, 1999 to the late Raymond Lee Barker, Jr and Sharon Eller Barker. He was in the eleventh grade at Ashe County High School. He served in the JROTC for two of those years. He had received the Wayne Henderson Scholarship for his music. He was taking music lessons from Steve Lewis. He had a great love for play his electric guitar. He is survived by: his mother, Sharon Eller Barker; two brothers, Joe Barker, of Jefferson and Mack D. Kelleher, of Haw River; three sisters, Stephanie Shipley and husband, Dave, of Jefferson, LeAnne Barker, of Jefferson and Melissa McCoy, of Wilkesboro; several nieces and nephews also survive.
