Mr. Daniel Rash, better known as "Danny" age 47, of West Jefferson, passed away Wednesday morning, February 17, 2016 at his residence. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Mayberry officiating. Mr. Rash was born in Avery County on December 19, 1968 to Peter and Madeline Rash. He was a kind and friendly person. He also enjoyed working the in nursing field. He was a loving husband, father, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Karen Rash; one daughter, Ciara Rash of West Jefferson; his father, Peter Rash of Avery County; two step-sons, Charles David Gibbs and wife Lori of Lansing, and Jeremey Philip Gibbs and fiancé Maranda Ellison of Jefferson; one brother, David Charles Rash and wife Devia of Glade Valley; one sister, Beau Warren and husband Doug of Newland; four grandchildren, Jacob Hamilton, Tanner Neaves, Kya Brielle Gibbs, and Rylan Tony-Abel Ellison; special dog, Onix; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
