My deepest condolences to the family. Lida, Ruth, and Lloyd were my extended family. I spent numerous days and overnights with them in Jefferson and on the family farm in Chestnut Hill. Lida taught me many things on these outings and I often recall his words of wisdom. He made me a better man. He will surely be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Robby

Lida was a delightful gentleman and very dear to Eve and me. In fact, it was Lida who indirectly brought us together over a jar of honey. He had a certain twinkle in his eye when sharing a story, enjoyed a good laugh, and had a gentle way about him that we treasure. Lida was honest and genuine. We truly enjoyed the time we spent visiting with him at the farmer's market and later at his home and will certainly miss him greatly.

i am so sorry for your loss! What a blessing to have had Uncle Lida as my uncle! He was a great man and uncle, and I will miss him very much! Mom loved Uncle Lida too, and if she didn't have Alzheimer's, she would be very saddened by this news. Love and prayers!
