Dear Bert,Kathy, & Family,
All I can say in all of your mom's 95 years, I was born 12 years later but I can remember how she being older than Tom, Cliff, Louise, Doris and me, how she worked and helped Mom take care of us while Dad worked to take care of our family, I remember Jo making our clothes where every stitch having to be just perfect and with all the other chores to be done just perfect too. She helped our parents when different one of us would have the measles, and other childhood sickness and did our hair and some of us had the long curly hair too and she did it just like mom did and kept us looking good; and she was always there to help us do the things we really needed done in school etc even making our clothes for school too and she always told us to do the best we could in everything. I remember one time in the store when Polly and I were getting ready to go to a school party in our pretty home made clothes that Jo made, she told us "to go and act like ladies" and she said it so sweet that Polly and I started acting up to tease her and your mom got so tickled that she had to turned around to keep us from seeing her laughing too. She really was a Godly lady. I am so thankful for having her for our sister. We prayed together, went to church together, worshiped together, laughed and cried together, worked together reminisced together when we would all gather at our reunions and even visiting each other and she and Doris always fixed good meals. We could always go to her for good advice.
She met your dad 'Bill' and after they got married and started their business I remember how she would lay out his clothes so neatly on the bed for him to wear each day, even shinned his shoes.
Finally she was so proud to have you come into her and your dad's life after being married so long and finally had her baby boy. She was so proud of you Bert and kept you looking so good and all of us adored you and Polly and I would play and watch you when she worked downstairs and she also had a housekeper that helped out. She and your dad treated those housekeeprs just like family. You were always the best littlle guy.
She was so nice to all the customers that came in the store and remember how when you got older how she would make breakfast with biscuits and gravy etc and share with the workers and the customers.
I could write a lot of great things that she has been to all of us but don't have the space. We are going to miss her but our loss is God's gain. God gave her 95 years on this old world and she spent them wisely serving him. What a precious and wonderful lady she was and had that beautiful smile and personanality that we will never forget..
Everytime I would call her she would always say "Pray for Bert" as he isn't too well then it was pray for Kathy, and she always told me about Cordin, her little great grandson, how she would play games etc with him and the way he showed her how to play them his way. She was proud of Tennile and her husband and Trathan and Adrian also. She was so proud of her whole family! All have blessed memories of Jo.
Love you all and God bless
Aunt Myrtle Jean, & Uncle Cecil Blevins & the Worley and Beers Family..

Joe was my favorite aunt in all my family! I will miss her very much. When I was a child, she was always there to help me in some of my personal struggles . After my family moved to Texas, I was not able to see her often. When I was able to visit, she was always gracious to me. Although she will be missed here, I know that heaven is receiving a new shinning angle .

Aunt Joe was the Aunt of my late husband Johnny Dollar. She could make the whole world smile and it was always a joy to see her and be around her. After our 39 hour trips from El Paso, she would welcome us with that wonderful smile and southern personality and made you feel like you were the most important people in the world. She truely had a gift.. No one could ever say enough, how wonderful a sweet spirit she possessed. We all loved her and cherished those famous Fried Catfish dinners, those fresh tomatoes and those priceless green beans. We will miss, but find peace knowing she is now with all of those she loved and has missed. She always made me feel like family too, not just the wife of one her nephews. I will always love you, Joe.
