Mrs. Josephyne Blevins Dollar, better known as “Jo” age 95, of West Jefferson passed away Thursday morning, June 30, 2016 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 3pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis-Kemp Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Dollar was born in Ashe County on June 11, 1921 to the late William Jennings and Hattie Eldreth Blevins. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all. Mrs. Dollar is survived by a son, Bert Dollar and wife Kathy of Crumpler, two brothers; Jim Blevins of Jefferson, and Robert “Bob” Blevins of Jefferson, two sisters; Doris Sheets of West Jefferson, and Myrtle Blevins of Conowingo, Maryland, two grandchildren; Tennille Sanders of St. Johns, Florida and Trathen Dollar of West Jefferson, one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
