Mrs. Bonita (Bonnie) Sue Rouse Blohm, age 69, of Crumpler passed away Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2016 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Chuck Lieberman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 on Wednesday, August 31, 2016; two hours prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Mrs. Blohm was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 5, 1947 to the late Theodore and Rose Karp Rouse. She was a math teacher in the school system in South Florida for many years. Bonnie was an active volunteer with Arts Council and Habitat for Humanity. She enjoyed quilting and cross stitching, and was a huge Carolina Panthers fan. She was an avid Weight Watcher. She is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) Jay Blohm; sisters, Robin Rouse, of Massachusetts and Florida and Susan Griffith, of Dallas, Texas; a brother-in-law, Brian Gallagher, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Geri and Walt Dodds; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a large extended family and friends.
