Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. After seeing the Avery Post and reading more about Brittany my heart is hurting for you and your Family.
My daughter looks much like Brittany, likes much the same things as Brittany. She now resides in West Jefferson after growing up on Lees McRae Campus and Banner Elk. My 20 yrs teaching at Lees McRae drew me close to many students. Realizing how much you cared for your daughter and the hurt you must feel from the loss, my prayer for you and your family is that God will give you Peace as you heart as you hand over your pain and confusion over to him. God knows what is best for us and ours.
Hoping you are believers. It will help you through time as you live on for her. Prayers for you.

Mark and Melissa,My heart is breaking for you.I heard Brittany's obituary on the radio but I didn't even realize who she was until I saw it on the computer. I remember her from when she was just a little girl when we went to First Assembly of God in Jefferson.I always thought she was so beautiful then and she still is at 22. My granddaughter went to heaven September 27,2015 and like my daughter Donna said in her post to you,I have cried for her everyday since she died.We just can't understand why our young ones have to leave us but there is One who does know and that is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please know that you and your family will be in my prayers that God will wrap His loving arms around you and hold you close. Remember her beautiful smile and all the joy she has brought you and know that, "Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, Love leaves a memory that no one can steal." God Bless you.

My daughter passed away on September 27,2015. She was 33. I won't say I know how you feel because everyone grieves differently. But,I do know what it feels like to sit at your child's bedside and have the doctor tell you she won't survive. I know what it's like to cry for that child every single day since she's been gone.
