We just heard about Mary Jo's passing and would like for you all to know our prayers and thoughts are with you all. I took over Tommy's position at Pirateland when he retired and we also knew them through FBC of Myrtle Beach. We loved them both and they were so loved at Pirateland also.
God bless,
Darryl & Penny Brummett

Mary Jo and Tommy have been such a blessing to so many of us in the Myrtle Beach area. A great gift of the Lord to worship, pray, laugh and cry with them. They are beautiful examples of Christ in the flesh. So many great life lessons they taught us. It has been a real privilege to know them. Praying comfort and peace for the entire family and especially Tommy, who loved her so much. Mary Jo has been and will be greatly missed by all of us. Prayers and love to all the family.

my sincere and heart felt condolences to Tommy and the family for the loss of MaryJo. She is a joy to know and I will never forget her kindness, warmth and friendship throughout all the years. She is now safe and secure with her Savior in heaven and I'm sure she is enjoying the presence of the Lord as well as many friends she knows who passed on ahead of her. it is not easy to be separated from a mother in death and yet the assurance that Jesus gives us that we will see her again does provide comfort. I pray the Savior will hold you close during this time and that each family member and friend will dedicate their lives to loving and serving with her quiet strength and beauty. God has her firmly in His grip and I pray you will be comforted by that thought. Her influence will transcend the years. I am very glad to have known her.

My sincere sympathy to the Johnson family. While heaven rejoices in receiving Mary-Jo,there remains a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She lived out her faith to others with a kind word to comfort and encourage. Proverbs 15:23. "A word spoken in due season, how good it is". She will be greatly missed.

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for the privilege of bringing such a friend as Mary Jo into my life. Because of her, I know You in ways I may never have experienced. Please tell her that I will miss her until I see her with You.....and let her know that she will never be forgotten. Please also tell her that her legacy of kindness and love for others will be passed on because of how she lived. I will love her forever.

Your Mother was one of the greatest women I've ever known. She taught me more about being a woman, a wife, a mother, a Believer, a friend than anyone in this world. She taught me how to be a lady and to walk hand and hand with my husband no matter what was going on in our lives. She was faithful to her LORD, her husband, her family, and the many who attended churches Tommy pastored. Heaven is rejoicing today howbeit our hearts are a little bit more empty.
God bless you children as you look after your dad and each other.

Chrissie and Family, was very sorry to hear of your mom 's passing. I hadn't seen your parents in quiet a while, but I certainly remember what a sweet and beautiful lady she was. Chrissie, I remember at the class reunion you were talking about Butch and that we all had the assurance that someday we would see him again and now we can look forward to seeing them both. I bet they're having some great reunion about now, I'm sorry I can't attend the services, I don't need to be around crowds due to health problems. May God Bless You all during this very difficult time, I hope to see you again sometime before long maybe another class reunion.(1968). Take care. Love, John Micheal Noblett and Family

We were very sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. No matter the amount of time in preparation, we are never ready for the loss of a parent. The last few years were difficult for her and at least now she is free of her medical difficulties.
