My heartfelt condolences to the family. I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort through the loving memories of your beloved Shane. May you also look to our loving Heavenly Father, the God of all comfort, to provide what you need at this very sad time. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4, Psalms 83:18). He promises us that very soon, "He will wipe every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Revelation 21:3,4, Isaiah 33:24. He also promises us that there will be a resurrection of the righteous ones so they will have the opportunity to live forever in Paradise right here on earth. (John 5:28,29, Psalms 37:10,11). What wonderful promises! Can you imagine a time on earth when there will be no more sickness, pain or death? May all of God's promises give you a measure of comfort, peace, hope and strength. I have personally found very comforting thoughts on jw.org.

Dear Eddie and Vannoy family,
I'm terribly sorry for the losses your family have endured. Evelyn was a wonderful women and I always appreciated her kindness. I remember the first time I met Shane at he and Kelly's wedding party. We talked about Braves Baseball. Over the last 17 years, I'd run into Shane here and there and he always had a funny story or joke on hand. I enjoyed the times he, Christina W and I would go on the river. When I had the bar at 'Top of the Mountain' he'd stop in and he always brought "light" to the place. Again, I'm so sorry for your families loss. Shane and Evelyn were unique in their own way and the world is a better place for having them..

Met Shane about 4 years ago through a mutual friend. At that time, I was having multiple shoulder surgeries. The sweetheart he was....he brought me flowers. How adorable and thoughtful.
I am a 70 year old woman...old enough to have been his mother. He always hugged me when we met in town. A real treasure.
I can feel your loss.
Please remember he was loved by many.
I know God held his hand and welcomed him home.

I got to know Shane in the mid 1990s when Brandon & I were roommates at ASU. It was always fun when Shane came into Boone to enjoy an evening or two with us. I recall one time he came with a pickup and 4 wheeler in the back.. It had been snowing and it seemed like a 'good' idea to ski behind the 4 wheeler. There was some beer, ok a case or two, and couple pizzas. I remember from time to time heading over to a little house that he was renting in Jefferson for well what else some beer and pizza. Shane was a big guy that had an even bigger great personality... one of those people that just puts you at ease right when you meet him. Shane is with the angels in heaven for sure -- I expect he is laughing with family/ friends/ making new friends and probably a great yellow lab named Sandy is on his lap. I wanted to let Brandon and his family know I am thinking about them- Brad Conte
