Tom was a weather forecaster’s forecaster and a Sailor’s Sailor. I first met Tom on USS AMERICA in 1993 - he was the guy everyone looked up to & the glue that held the division together. With Tom, what you saw was what you got - you always knew where you stood and what he thought. I will miss him greatly.

I am so glad to have seen Tom shortly before he left this earth as our conversation was animated as ever and he spoke of his life, Cathy, the future and getting together. Tom always had a smile to share and positive words to go with it. His live for Cathy was so evident in all that he said and did. He will be missed by many, no doubt.

Although I haven't seen Tom in years, he has left a special mark on my life. He could make you laugh at the drop of a hat (even if you didn't know what he was laughing at!) and his quick wit was second to none! He was a true friend to my husband during their NAVY days and always had his back. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Much love to Cathy during this difficult time.

I first met Tom in the mid 90's at the Naval Weather Center in Norfolk Va. We became instant friends as we shared many common interests. My love of weather and extreme weather phenomena was only matched by one other person in this world, Tom. We even formed a successful weather business together. Tom did all the leg work as he drove all the way around the Chesapeake Bay region drumming up business. The only reason we stopped doing it was due to his rapid success in day trading stocks. In that, I feel he was legendary. We also shared a love for golf, traveling to tournaments in Myrtle beach on several occasions. His love for grilled meats was also something we shared. We had many a good time over a good grilled steak or some other critter as he would call it. I could go on and on but only have limited space. I will close it with this. I always thought of Tom as an intriguing mix of rural Florida country boy and this wiley financial and meteorological genius. Anyone who knew Tom, loved Tom. To quote a statement by Bob Cosby, "Tom was not just one of the good ones, he was one the best ones". Rest in peace my friend.

I knew Tom from the early days of stock trading.
We all met in Myrtle Beach and formed the stock pit where he made many friends over the years.
He will be missed by many. His laugh will be missed by all...

My heart goes out to you, Cathy. I know I don't really know just how hard this is. I only know that you have friends that care, and hope that you find some comfort there.
I remember Tom coming to my yoga class, along with you, all those years ago. He was a trooper, even when he was having to accept limitations. He always kept trying......and laughing. He would crack me up while I was instructing!
I believe that beauty and love live in laughter, and Tom's laughter was contagious. What a lovely gift he shared with all of us.

Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. As fellow military veterans, we talked about our experiences and our goals for retirement. He always spoke of his home on the river and his home office where he spent so much of his time--with periodic walks with his beloved dogs. He was obviously proud of Cathy. How do I know? Because he brought Cathy up in conversations more often than not.
I will miss his chuckles.
I will miss him.
