I can’t say enough kind words about Amanda that would do her justice. She was in a way like my own big sister when I was growing up. I’ve known her and the family since as long as I can remember - probably 35+years. She would drive Jason and I around to get food or to the video store when we were younger. We slid around one time on the icey roads during one of those trips - it was a favorite story of hers to tell whenever I would come around. She would come to Jason’s window and try to scare us when she came in at night and I had stayed the night. I have lots of fond memories of her from way back then though just recently. Amy and I visited her at Duke one evening not long ago. Even though I know she was hurting she still had her sense of humor and she was fiesty as ever. I didn’t know it then but that would be the last time I heard her tell the story about how we almost wrecked on the way back from the video store. She was truly an amazing lady and I was lucky to know her.

Dale and family,

I am so sorry for your loss and want you to know that Amanda helped me a tremendous amount in my fight against cancer. She and I celebrated the highs and worked through the lows together. Dale & family,
My heart breaks for you as you navigate this path of grief. I have so many fond memories from Sunday School and the Midway Youth group. Amanda touched so many lives.
