Mrs. Amanda Severt Wineberg, age 47, of Jefferson passed away Wednesday morning, February 14, 2018 at her home. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 4:00pm at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Steve LeaShomb officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00-4:00pm at Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Wineberg was born in McDowell County on June 23, 1970 to the late Wayne and Diane Walker Severt. She worked at Blevins Building Supply. Amanda and Dale would step up weekly at the Ashe County Farmer's Market selling the farm raised beef. She always had a smile on her face and a loving heart to her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and sister; she will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Barney and Maude Severt, and Harold and Nancy Walker. She is survived by her husband, Dale Wineberg; one son, Josh Wineberg of Jefferson; one daughter, Jessica Smith and husband Wally of Newland; two brothers, Tony Severt of West Jefferson, and Jason Severt of West Jefferson; two grandchildren, Brody and Carter Smith; one niece, Breanna Severt; and one great-niece, Destiny Javadi. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amanda Wineberg Memorial Fund, c/o Midway Baptist Church, 1670 Mount Jefferson Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694. This fund will help cancer patients with their financial needs.
