Dear Friends,
Word of Iva Jean's death brings heartfelt sadness to me. I remember her, happily, from all our elementary & high school years at Fleetwood and Beaver Creek. Particularly, I recall her gracious, happy personality and her quality academic abilities....in earlier grades she always scored highest on the standardized achievement tests we were given, and in high school she was ever the "go to" friend who could readily fathom the deep mysteries (to most of us!) of Mr. A. D. Goodman's chalkboard-laden algebra and geometry classes. (Mrs. Clara D. Brown, our teacher in 2nd grade, once said, "Behind Iva Jean's thick glasses dwells a wonderfully brilliant mind.") We all agreed!
At this time of sorrow, I join with many others in grieving Iva Jean's death and in expressing to all her family members sincerest sympathy and love.
