Obituary of John Michael Noblett

Mr. John Michael Noblett, better known as "Johnny" age 67, of West Jefferson passed away Tuesday evening, March 27, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11AM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Roten officiating. Burial will follow in the Cranberry Richardson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 5:30-7:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Noblett was born in Ashe County to the late Willie Bryan and Grace Evelyn Roten Noblett. Johnny owned Beaver Creek Grocery for many years, while his health would allow him. He served as Ashe County Commissioner for many years and was very strong supporter of the Democrat Party. He loved working in the community and volunteering when time allowed. He dedicated his time to many organizations. His fondest memories include volunteering during the Heart Auction, serving on the board for New River Behavioral Healthcare, volunteering and visiting with patients at the hospital and the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. Johnny always had a smile on his face and willing to help his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother; he will be missed by all. He was also preceded in death by a brother Bobby Noblett; two sisters, Betty Parsons and Ann Johnson. Mr. Noblett is survived by his wife, Eve Noblett; two sons, Bryan Noblett, of Millers Creek and Tommy Noblett, of Charlotte; two daughters, Suzanne Weaver and husband, Johnny, of West Jefferson and Sarah Noblett, of West Jefferson; five brothers, Connie Dean Roten, of Statesville, Joe Noblett, of Kentucky, Keith Noblett, of Laurel Springs, Roger Noblett, of Laurel Springs and Jackie Noblett, of Fleetwood; a sister, Madeline Lambert, better known as Tiny, of West Jefferson; four grandchildren Noel Noblett, Kai Noblett, Madison Weaver and Liza Weaver; a step grandson, Will Weaver; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ashe County Heart Association, C/O Sandy Roten, PO Box 132, Lansing, NC 28640 or Cranberry Richardson Cemetery, C/O Bryan Noblett, 111 Miller Street, Millers Creek, NC 28651. The family will be meeting at the homeplace, 640 Beaver Creek School Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694. The family respectfully requests no food.
