Mr. Joseph Marvin Boyden, age 57, of Jefferson, passed away Thursday afternoon at Huntersville Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11am at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. William Greer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11am at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Boyden was born in Ashe County on July 23, 1961 to the late Chester and Geraldine Johnson Boyden. He was a member of Cox Grove Church. He enjoyed watching westerns and playing solitaire on his computer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be missed by all. He was also preceded in death by his brother; David Boyden, and a nephew; Kenneth McCloud. Mr. Boyden is survived by his wife, Barbara Boyden; one daughter, Veronica Wolfe of High Point; one son, Alexander Wolfe of Jefferson; one brother, Jeff Boyden and wife Dorothy of Wilkesboro; one sister, Rachel McCloud of Wilkesboro; one granddaughter, Kristina Little of High Point; nieces, Tina Demouth and husband Bobby and daughter Victoria, and Terri Kasweka and husband Humphrey; and one great nephew, Abraham Kasweka also survives.
