Mrs. Pat Miller Vannoy, age 78, of Indian Trail, formerly of Ashe County passed away Saturday, September 9, 2018 at Cabarrus County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 12:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Jones and Rev. Brian Austin officiating. Committal services will be held in the chapel. Mrs. Vannoy will be buried in the Eller Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-12:00pm on Saturday, September 15, 2018; two hours prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Vannoy was born in Ashe County on April 17, 1940 to the late Jones Cicero and Alverda Miller. She worked as an Operator for Bell South Telephone Company. She was a member of Healing Springs Baptist Church and attended Hopewell Baptist Church in Monroe. She enjoyed taking pictures of her family and gardening in her spare time. Pat was kind and caring person always looking out for others. She was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Reeve Edwin Vannoy on November 16, 2013 and a daughter, Dawn Zevotek. Mrs. Vannoy is survived by: two sons, John Edwin (Eddie) Vannoy and wife, Elizabeth, of Indian Trail, NC and Cameron Glenn Vannoy, and wife, Ronda of Huntersville, NC; a sister, Glenna Watson of Valdese; ten grandchildren, Rebecca Bailey, Jesse Vannoy, Hannah Vannoy, Joshua Vannoy, Lana Shank, Jessica Bullock, Joseph Zevotek, Jonathan Zevotek, Daniel Zevotek and Patricia Zevotek; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
