I am so very sorry. I just found out and didn't make the viewing. Larry was always so good to me. He was one of dads most favorite people in the world. Him and dad made me laugh all the time. Those two were a hoot. He is going to missed dearly. My heart goes out to all the family.

It is with much sadness I learned of Larry's passing...I came to know him through his garage and was so impressed with his honesty, integrity and fine work. I got to know him a little as we sat and chatted while my car was being worked on. I saw a very fine gentleman who was genuine, who had a wonderful smile and was very kind, one who never complained about his illness and one who had great compassion, he made sure my car was repaired so I could go to my granddaughter's graduation. I saw him interact with family members once when I was there and you could see the love he had for them. My heart goes out to you his family. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. Praying that the sweet memories you have will comfort your heart now and in the days to follow.

Today I'm trying to think of only the sweetest memories of my younger brother, Larry - and that was always his huge, infectious smile. When Larry was a baby, I was given the task of getting him down for his naps and bedtime. He would always play a game with me. I would rock him, put him down and just when I thought I could leave, there he was, popping up with that great big smile to let me know he had me fooled again. I thought of him as my baby, which of course he wasn't, but I loved him like he was. I will miss you forever, my sweet brother, but will hold you near to my heart and look forward to seeing you again healthy and happy for all eternity.
Phyllis, the road has been long on Larry's health struggles and you're to be commended for loving and caring for him as you did. I know he's looking down from his perch in Heaven and sees all that's taking place, glad to finally be at rest with no more pain. May God bless and keep you all through the days ahead.

Dear Phyllis and family,
I know all too well the pain and suffering that comes with the loss of someone so loved.
I remember Larry as a wonderful uncle in my earlier years, with a big smile and teasing manner. Always quick to help when needed and give a big bear hug or two along the way.
I know his passing is sorrowful and leaves a vacuum in its place. Try to take comfort that not only is he no longer in pain, he’s now completely healed and I’m thankful to the Lord for that. I hope those big sunflowers I sent him gave him sweet memories of mawmaw, who I’m sure he’s catching up with even as I write this!
We’re only a call away should you need anything. God bless you.

To all the family:
I am remembering Larry as one of the best human beings I have ever had the
pleasure of knowing. He was never hesitant when it came to helping me out with my car or truck. My son, Joseph would drive all the way from Burke Co. to
have Larry work on his vehicles. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you share your grief. I know you will miss Larry greatly. He will also be missed in the community by so many friends.
God be with you all,
Sincerely, Marlette Blevins Cullen

Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.
