Sharyn, John, James and family, I'm so very sorry to heard such sad news. I just heard a few minutes ago. Joanne was a sweet lady and I will always be thankful for the way she cared for Grant. I'm happy that they are together now and rejoicing after being apart for a little over a year now. My thoughts and prayers are with you, may Christ gives you the peace that only he can give us as you go through this time.

Sharon, Gina, John and family.
My heart goes out to you at this time. Joanne was a dear friend of mine from our Atlanta days and since I moved to Destin, FL She was a truly Special friend and we took a vacation to Branson, Mo while I lived in Conyers, GA that will always remain in my heart. We laughed and enjoyed many outings together. God called an Angel home. She was so Special. What a legacy she left to so many of us.

Dearest Gina and Sharon and extended family. I truly am grieved that Joanne
has left us but I know she is free of pain and is truly joyful to be in presense
of her Lord and family that has passed. Our faith gets us through and she would

Joanna was A sweet lady . I enjoyed the time I stayed with her we talked a lot and she told me about her life and her children. They meant a great deal to her, she loved them very much. She talked about missing her husband and she was lonely. I told her about missing my mother in law and so we made a great pair. We talked about the lord and listened to Grant sing gospel songs with his friends. We even sang gospel songs together She will be missed very much . I'm thankful I got to know her and Sharyn, Gina and Jon and a lot of her family if you ever need me call on me please. Love ya all,you are in my prayer.

The Family of Joanne
So sorry for the loss of Joanne. She was a special lady ahead of her time. She was smart, kind, caring and a constant friend. She was more than just a sister-in-law to me. She will be sorely missed. Joanne was my lst year roommate at Lees-McRae College. She became a dear friend then and has remained so since. I visited her several times and we sent each other Christmas cards and letters through the years. I have sweet memories of being her roomie at LMC. She told me once that she loved my middle name Ardean and actually named her daughter Sharon Ardean. That was so sweet and even tho I have not met Sharon I felt surprised and honored that she did that. I hope Sharon likes the name. I feel so sad that Joanne passed away. I do not know the circumstance and hope she was not ill very long. Actually, I met Grant on our last visit , and did not know that he has also passed away. Looks like Joanne had a large and loving family. I have seen many pictures and she sure looked happy with her family. She will always be a cherished memory. I loved her.... God Bless this family as you grieve the loss of your mother and grandmother. My health does not permit me to attend her funeral but I wanted all of you to know that I cherish her memory. I am also 81 and not in good health.
