Todd Roberts was an exceptional human being in many ways to many people. He possessed a genuine sense of caring for others and the determination to make their days a little better. He touched the lives of so many grieving people in his work and set the example of strength through faith in better tomorrows.
We will miss Todd, but will always smile when we remember him; he was that kind of a man.

To Todd’s Family and Friends, First of all I would like to extend my sincere condolences on your loved one’s passing.I was was shocked and saddened to learn of Todd’s passing,it was just on February 27th he had sent me birthday greetings. Although Todd and I never met in person our paths crossed,so to speak,when we were both doing some research on our family history.Some may say that it was just an accidental connection,but I beg to differ with that statement.I believe people come into our lives for a reason,regardless of how it happens.You see,Todd enriched my life with our chats,greetings,pictures etc.I hope I did the same for him in some small way. I could tell Todd was a man of great character,a dedicated family man,who loved God and country.I learned he was a very good hunter ,loved his dog,old guns and history.I know he was a true gentleman and all around good and genuine man. To Peck and family,
This rocked me to the core when I heard the news. When you lose a friend and someone you grew up with, it just plain hurts. I loved coming to the farm and playing when we were little. My greatest memories are playing Rat Patrol in the old Jeep by the barn or playing with Todd’s army men or trains. We played a lot of football in the yard as well. These memories will stay with me forever. God bless and comfort you and your family.

I had the privilege of getting to know and working with the Roberts family for several years while in Ashe County. I was one of Todd's teachers at Riverview Elementary School and Northwest Ashe High School and was Todd's football coach there, also. His mother, Virginia Ruth, and I taught together at Northwest Ashe and later worked together at Ashe County Career Center where I was principal. His father, Tom, Sr., and I worked together coordinating programs with Wilkes Community College for our students at the Center. During this time I became very close friends with Tom, Jr. (Peck). The Roberts family was one of the finest and most supportive families I've ever known. Todd, you will be missed, as is your mom and dad. Peck, keep up the family tradition.

I grew up in West Jefferson but I do not reside there. I have known the Boone Family for several years. J D Boone was a close friend. Todd has helped my family as has David Boone.
