Miss. Mary Amanda Miller, better known as "Amanda" age 42, of West Jefferson, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 2 pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. JC Darnell and Rev. David Lyalls officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 6-8pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Miss. Miller was born in Ashe County on March 17, 1977 to the late Edward Carl Stike, Jr. and Rosa Gilley Williams. She graduated from Beaver Creek High School in 1995 and later from Wilkes Community College in 2018. After graduating from high school, she worked several years, as a CNA at Watauga Medical Center and Ashe Memorial Hospital. After graduating from Wilkes Community College, Amanda worked at Watauga Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist. She enjoyed watching movies and hanging out with her boys in her spare time. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister; she will be missed by all. She is survived by her three sons; Dustin Miller and fiancé Brittany of Wilkesboro, Dakota Miller of West Jefferson, and Dayton Miller of West Jefferson, her mother and stepfather; Rosa and Wayne Williams of West Jefferson, a sister; Christina Stike of Elizabethton, TN, a step-sister; Nita Goodman of West Jefferson; several aunts, uncles; nieces and nephews also survive.
