Obituary of James Stewart Grimes

Mr. James Stewart Grimes, Jr. better known as “Buddy”, age 54, of Greensboro formally of Ashe County passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at Beacon Place in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11am at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Morris and Rev. Fontrina Wray officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11 at Boone Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Grimes was born in Ashe County on June 23, 1964 to the late Stewart and Marcella McMillian Grimes. Buddy graduated from Beaver Creek High School. He enjoyed playing basketball and watching the Washington Red Skins.

Mr. Grimes is survived by his sister; Angela Grimes of Raleigh, a brother; Jonathan Grimes and wife Cindy of Lewisville, two nieces; Paige and Addison Grimes.
